I’m insatiably curious about the world around me and the people in it, which fuels both my passion for research and for lived experience. I am adept with numbers and analysis, but my focus on people means I'm foremost an advocate of user experience, empathy, and ethnography.
I adore travel, and growing up in Nashville TN, my favorite childhood book was an illustrated atlas. My goal is to see life through as many perspectives as possible while I’m alive. I seek knowledge in order to understand, connect, and build bridges.
I’m also an adventurer who can’t get enough of the great outdoors and pushing myself to explore my physical and mental limits. I love the mountains and I’ve done extensive climbing in the Andes and Himalayas, as well as summiting Kilimanjaro. But the simple everyday pleasures of a yoga class or an outdoor run with my husband and our dog are equally important to me.

Our quieter pursuits involve lots of book-reading, exploring nature with our son, and sharing meals with friends. My husband is not just a great co-adventurer but a talented photographer, who documents our excursions and is responsible for many of the pictures on this site.
